Meet Our Doctors
David Lukof, V.M.D.Dr. Lukof grew up in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania and received his BS in Animal Science from the Pennsylvania State University. He received his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1981. He practiced for two years in Hazelton, Pennsylvania before founding the Harleysville Veterinary Hospital in 1983. Dr. Lukof lives on a farm in Pennsburg and in his spare time he enjoys the outdoors.

Paul Wagner, V.M.D.
Dr. Wagner grew up in Warminster, PA. He was graduated from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA in 1992 and from the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School in 1996. After three years practicing in Hollywood, Pennsylvania he joined the Harleysville Veterinary Hospital in 1999. He then became a partner in 2008. Dr. Wagner's interests are in exotic animals, mainly ferrets and other small mammals. He is an active member of St. Mary Parish in Schwenksville and lives in Perkiomenville with his wife and four children. When not working he can be found on the baseball or softball field either coaching or watching his children play.

Richard Paulding, V.M.D.Dr. Paulding received his BA from the University of Richmond, a Masters Degree in Zoology from the University of Vermont and his Veterinary Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a classmate of Dr. Lukof. He practiced small animal veterinary medicine in Danbury, CT from 1981 to 1997. He joined Harleysville Veterinary Hospital in 1997. He has a special interest in surgery and medicine. He enjoys cycling, cooking and traveling.

Shannon Hawkins, V.M.D.
Dr. Hawkins received her BS in Biology and a BA in Behavior Neuroscience from Lehigh University in 2003. She received her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. She has been associated with Harleysville Veterinary Hospital since her graduation from veterinary school. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and a small herd of cats and dogs.

Greg Bogle, V.M.D.
Dr. Greg Bogle grew up in Doylestown, PA. He received his B.S. in Biology at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. He then went on to receive his V.M.D from the University of Pennsylvania. Greg has been an Associate Veterinarian at Harleysville Veterinary Hospital since June of 2012. While not at work, Greg enjoys fishing, watching Philadelphia sports, and spending time with his wife, cat, and puppy!

Brian Dvorsak, B.V.M. & S.
Dr. Brian Dvorsak grew up north of Pittsburgh and received a BS in biology and a BS in Psychology from Geneva College in 2009. He attended veterinary school at the University of Edinburgh and was graduated in 2013 with a BVM&S. He is an avid traveler and enjoys outdoor activities including landscaping and different sports such as football, cycling and climbing. He currently resides in Harleysville with his wife and dog, Sigfried. He joined Harleysville Veterinary Hospital in 2013.

Jennifer Carpenter, D.V.M.Dr. Jenn Carpenter graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Animal Science and a concentration in Animal Biology. She received her D.V.M. from the University of Florida in 2011. Dr. Carpenter went on to complete a rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Hospital. She currently lives in Harleysville with her husband, two children, and their cat, Murdock.

Jenna Wilson, D.V.M.
Dr. Jenna Wilson grew up in Havertown, PA. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences in 2016. She received her D.V.M. from the University of Florida in 2020 as well as a certificate in Veterinary Business Management. Dr. Wilson's professional interests include soft tissue surgery and neurology. In addition to spending time with her family and her dog Ruby, Dr. Wilson enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, and watching Philly sports.

Kaitlyn Scholl, D.V.M.
Dr. Kaitlyn (Kate) Scholl grew up in the Upper Perkiomen Valley and received a B.A. in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina, where she played field hockey. She received a Pre-Health Certificate while also coaching field hockey at Villanova University. Dr. Scholl attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year studies at The Ohio State University. She earned her D.V.M. in September of 2020. Dr. Scholl’s professional interests include ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Scholl enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, Reagan and Rosey. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, playing or watching field hockey, and attending Philly sporting events.

Emma Nixon, D.V.M.
Dr. Emma Nixon grew up in Florence, South Carolina. She completed her undergraduate studies at Ithaca College in New York where she competed in college gymnastics and earned a B.A. in Biology and Mathematics. She then earned her DVM at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2021. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, and internal medicine. Outside of veterinary medicine Dr. Nixon enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog Thor. She also enjoys participating in recreational flag football and slow pitch softball, going to the movies, and spending the day at the beach.

Rachel Mester, D.V.M.Dr. Mester grew up in Staten Island, NY. She received her B.S. in Animal Biosciences from the University of Delaware and in May 2022 received her D.V.M. from the University of Florida. She holds a certificate in Veterinary Business Management and is Fear Free Certified. Her interests include exotic animals and surgery. When she is not spending time with her family, Dr. Mester enjoys reading, cooking and playing with her cat.
